Karma Yoga
No reward or consequences for your actions -- you don't think about the next thing
Doing what you're supposed to do in life - a selfless act to help others; without being concerned about praise or reward. 
Doing the right thing - Jnana (knowledge - knowing you're supposed to do it) or Bhakti (devotion - do it out of devotion to someone.

Psychophysical Exercise 
Shed layers; delve into yourself.
Activating the parts of mind and self that don't typically work. 
You need ultimate concentration - your body and senses cannot be allowed to distract you.
  1. controlling the mind
  2. controlling the body
  3. controlling the senses
  4. alone with only your mind; concentration »» meditation. Subject and object completely merged. Self-consciousness of individual disappears. 
  5. final stage: you attain unification with God; liberation; moksha. 


Paths to moksha are not mutually exclusive of each other - they can be pursued in part and together.
